Starting from the village of Arbaz, above Sion, the Five Ponds Tour is a loop of about 6.4 kilometres (with 216 metres of elevation gain, for roughly 2 hours of walking). The trail links several ponds — Botyre, Saxonne, Lombardon, the Étang-Long and the Étang de la Tourbière — across meadows and forests.
