About Kidora

Finding a good idea for an outing with children shouldn’t require an hour of research, ten open tabs and several checks to find out whether the activity is really suitable. Kidora was created to simplify all of that.

Kidora brings together activities, places and outing ideas for families in Switzerland. Our goal is simple: to help you discover more easily what exists around you and to prepare an outing without wasting time looking for the essential information across several websites.

A platform designed for families

Kidora is aimed at parents, grandparents and relatives looking for an activity to do with children. An outing for a Wednesday afternoon, an idea for a rainy weekend, a venue for a birthday party or simply the urge to discover a new region: we want to make the search faster, clearer and more enjoyable.

The platform lets you browse activities according to different criteria, including location, type of outing, children’s age or the context of your search. The information is organised to answer the practical questions you ask yourself before setting off.

Why Kidora was created

Outing ideas exist all over Switzerland, but they are often scattered across tourism websites, municipalities, local event calendars, social media and organisers’ websites. The information is not always presented in the same way and it can be difficult to compare several options quickly.

Kidora wants to bridge all these resources. We research activities, organise them and present the useful details in a format designed for families. When a piece of information changes, our tools, our manual checks and user reports help us correct it.

Who is behind Kidora?

My name is Michaël. I have been working in digital for more than twenty years and have supported the creation of several hundred web and digital projects in Switzerland. I am also a dad of two, which means I know last-minute searches, weather-related changes of plan and outings that have to suit several ages very well. Kidora was born where these two experiences meet: my job in digital and my daily life as a parent. The idea is not to create just another directory, but a genuinely practical tool, able to save families time and to showcase the diversity of activities on offer in Switzerland.
