Activities for children in Trélex
On the line of the little red train that climbs from Nyon to Saint-Cergue, Trélex is one of those countryside stops where you get off almost out of curiosity — only to fall under its charm. The village, nestled at the foot of the Jura between meadows and forests, exudes Vaud tranquility.
For families, it is an ideal starting point for nature: trails at the foot of the Jura, walks through fields, and just a few minutes away, the major attractions of the Nyon region.

Why choose Trélex for a family outing?
Trélex is enjoyed like a countryside interlude. The village and its surroundings offer lovely walking loops, accessible for little legs, between pastures, edges, and views of Lake Geneva. The arrival by NStCM train adds to the pleasure: for many children, the ride on the little red train is already an adventure in itself.
The village's location also makes it an excellent base for exploring: the La Garenne animal park in Vaud is just a few minutes away, as are the trails of Saint-Cergue and the activities in Nyon and its surroundings. It's easy to combine a morning in nature in Trélex with a more lively afternoon elsewhere on La Côte.
For a simple, green, and car-free day, Trélex is a stop that has it all — the Jura in the background and the sound of cowbells as a bonus.
