The cinema of Montreux, in the heart of town

Set on level -1 of the Cité-centre complex, right in the heart of Montreux, the Hollywood is the town’s only cinema. Its two large auditoriums (210 and 156 seats), with generous screens and a steep slope, offer excellent viewing angles. Run by the Cinérive group, it places particular emphasis on the original version and offers 3D. A central, comfortable cinema, a stone’s throw from the station.

What your children will discover

The Hollywood is a fine family address. This is where the La Lanterne Magique club is held in Montreux, for 6- to 12-year-olds: nine films per season, with an illustrated journal and a little introductory show. The youngest also have their “P'tites Planète(s)” screenings (3-6 years), and you can even organise a “Ciné Star” birthday. The animated films showing are often offered in French.

What you do there and the atmosphere on site

You go down to level -1 of the complex, get your ticket, and settle into one of the two large auditoriums. The steep slope of the halls guarantees a good view, even for the youngest. Everything is sheltered, right in the centre: ideal in bad weather. Note: the cinema is closed on Mondays.
