The freshwater museum, beside the Boiron
In Tolochenaz, right next to Morges, the Maison de la Rivière is a nature centre devoted to watercourses and their inhabitants. You'll find aquariums and tanks full of fish from our rivers, the « F.-A. Forel submarine », a large collection of naturalised animals and interactive exhibitions. All beside the Boiron, with a café and a setting accessible to everyone. The ideal outing to understand the life of our rivers, whatever the weather.
What your children will discover
Children watch trout, pike and other fish up close, explore the submarine, and learn to recognise the animals that live in rivers and forests. The interactive exhibitions invite them to touch, handle and experiment. Outside, the Sentier de la Truite extends the visit along the Boiron, from Morges to Saint-Prex.
What you do and the atmosphere on site
You wander freely through the rooms and the aquariums, linger by the submarine, and take a break at the café. The atmosphere is that of a lively, welcoming nature museum, fully accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs. For older children, an escape game on the theme of the deep is also on offer.
