A large outdoor pool at the gates of Geneva

Nestled in Cointrin, in the municipality of Meyrin, the Ailes pool is part of the Cointrin Sports Center, managed by Harmony. It is one of the three outdoor pools in Meyrin, and undoubtedly the most accessible when coming from Geneva or the airport area. Open from late spring to late summer, it offers everything needed for a lovely day by the water with family.

Large lawns, pools of various sizes, and a dining area: it's easy to settle in for a few hours, or even the whole day when it's hot.

What your children will discover

Several pools of different depths allow every child to find their place: a large pool for swimming and playing, an intermediate pool, and an area designed for the little ones who just want to splash around safely. Play areas complement the whole setup to keep the children entertained between swims.

Older kids will appreciate the space for swimming and diving, while the youngest stay close to the edge, under your watchful eye. Between swims, we lie on the grass, snack, and start again.

What to do there and the atmosphere on site

The atmosphere is that of a friendly neighborhood pool: families settled on the lawns, children running towards the water, towels spread out in the sun. People come for half a day or the whole day, with their picnic or enjoying the light refreshments available on site.

The site also hosts activities and entertainment for children during the summer. It’s also a place where, in season, swimming lessons can be taken: a great opportunity to combine relaxation and learning to swim.

Before you go

  • Recommended age: from 3 years old for splashing around with supervision; ideal for the whole family, including older kids who want to swim.
  • Duration: half a day to a full day depending on the weather and desire.
  • Reservation: no reservation needed for entry; tickets can be purchased online to avoid waiting at the ticket office on busy days.
  • Stroller: flat site with large lawns, easy to access with a stroller.
  • Transport: accessible by public transport TPG (bus service available, stop near Chemin des Ailes); just steps from Geneva Airport. Paid parking is available on the sports center site.
  • What to bring: swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, hats, and picnic supplies; on hot days, consider arriving early to find shade.
  • Ideal season: only in the summer season (open on nice days, generally from May to late August).

Parent tips

  • Arrive early in the day on hot days: you will find it easier to get a shaded spot on the lawns.
  • Buy tickets online to save time at entry when it’s crowded.
  • Bring arm bands or a float suit for the little ones, and keep them always within reach near the pools.
  • A snack and plenty of water: between swimming and the sun, children can get dehydrated quickly.
