Ludothèque des Eaux-Vives

Geneva·Geneva

Here, people play at every age: the Eaux-Vives toy library has designed its space as much for adults as for children, with no age limit, and welcomes little ones from two months old. Its team advises families on choosing games, from the first early-learning toy to board games.

During the school holidays, indoor and outdoor activities are organised, a good option for filling the weeks without school.

Located on Rue du Nant, the toy library is open five days a week, with morning slots on Mondays and Saturdays. Borrowing to take home requires an annual membership of 30 francs, and children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Ludothèque Prêt-Ludes

Geneva, 1208

From great classics to newer releases, Ludothèque Prêt-Ludes offers a selection of classic games and more recent titles, cooperative ones in particular, an ideal way to try a game as a family before deciding to buy it. It is located on Rue Le-Corbusier in Geneva. Beyond families, it welcomes children from the neighbourhood as well as local institutions, in the spirit of sharing that defines toy libraries: the same game moves from home to home instead of gathering dust on a shelf. The doors are open five days a week, with weekday afternoon slots, Friday mornings and Saturday mornings from 09:30 to 12:30. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Ludothèque Centre et Vieille-Ville

Geneva, 1204

Right in the heart of Geneva, Ludothèque Centre et Vieille-Ville offers city-centre families games and toys to borrow, on the library lending model. You pick a game, take it home, play with it for a while, then bring it back and leave with a new discovery. It is a valuable resource for parents in the neighbourhood: on rainy days or during the holidays, a new board game is often enough to fill an entire afternoon, with nothing to buy and nothing to store. Games and toys can be borrowed by families from Geneva's city centre and Old Town. Practical details and up-to-date opening times are available on the toy library's website.
