Ludothèque La Chotte

Le Pont·Vaud

On the shore of the Lac de Joux, in Le Pont, the La Chotte toy library brings together nearly 600 games: board games, outdoor games, puzzles, toys for babies and titles for adults. Plenty to provide an activity idea for the whole family, including on days when the valley's weather makes staying warm indoors the better option.

The library also lives to the rhythm of its games evenings and hosts children's birthday parties on its premises, on the quayside. Gift vouchers are on sale: a simple way to give the gift of play rather than yet another object.

Doors are open on Tuesdays from 16:30 to 18:00 and on Fridays, in the morning from 9:30 to 11:00 and in the late afternoon from 16:30 to 18:00, outside school holidays.

Ludothèque régionale de la Venoge

Cossonay, 1304

Right next to the municipal offices of Cossonay, at Passage Vy-Neuve, the regional toy library of la Venoge welcomes families three times a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 19:00, and Wednesdays from 16:00 to 18:00. The way it works is simple: annual membership costs 60 francs and allows six games to be borrowed for three weeks. A formula that keeps the games rotating at home all year round, with no buying or storing, and lets you quietly test a title before giving it as a gift or adding it to your collection. Before coming, the list of available games can be consulted online, and a blog shares news from the toy library. Everything you need to plan your visit and leave with safe bets and new discoveries alike.

Ludothèque L'OASIS

Bussigny, 1030

In the west of Lausanne, the L'OASIS toy library offers games and toys on loan to families in Bussigny and the surrounding area. As in a library, you leave with a selection, enjoy it at home, then bring everything back and choose something new. The formula has real advantages for families: it lets you try a game before buying it, match the toys to your children's age as the years go by, and keep your home liveable despite the little ones' appetite for novelty. Grey afternoons find their remedy here too, with a regularly refreshed stock of games. The service is presented on the Bussigny municipal website, in the pages devoted to childhood and youth, where you will find the information you need to plan your first visit.
