Activities for children in Morlon
Below the village, a point of land reaches into Lake Gruyère and forms the busiest beach in the region. Locals simply call it Morlon Beach.
Toilets, outdoor showers, fire pits for barbecues, picnic tables, a volleyball court and paddle rental on site: it is the beach on the lake that brings together the most facilities, and all of it is free, parking included.

Why choose Morlon for a family outing?
Because no other beach on Lake Gruyère offers as much without charging for entry. At La Pointe beach you will find public toilets and outdoor showers, which change everything when you leave with children covered in sand, several official fire pits for barbecues, picnic tables and a beach volleyball court.
A rental station set up directly on the site lets you head out by paddleboard or pedalo: Morlon is in fact one of the best known starting points in the region for stand up paddle and kayak. From the point, the view stretches to the Île d'Ogoz and the Fribourg Prealps.
Two practical points worth knowing: the official car park, which is free, is at the edge of the forest, around five minutes' walk from the beach, and both camping and overnight stays in vans are forbidden on the site.
