SionEscape, in Sion: escape game and investigations for families
In the heart of Sion, SionEscape offers immersive rooms and urban investigations for the whole family. Clever puzzles, 60 to 90 minutes of gameplay, and an adventure to share.
An Adventure in the Heart of Sion
Want a clever outing that breaks away from screens? SionEscape brings together everything we love: immersive scenarios, puzzles accessible to kids from 8 years old (with you), and urban investigations that help (re)discover the old town of Sion. We go there to stimulate our minds, support each other, and laugh together.
What Your Children Will Discover
In the rooms, children dive into a story: a mysterious lab, a hidden treasure, a countdown… We search, observe, and connect the clues. The atmosphere is well-crafted, the staging immersive, and everyone finds their place: the keen detective, the handyman, the word queen, or the detail ace.
With the city investigations, we step out to breathe as a team. The course is done on foot, through the streets and squares of the historic center of Sion. Children love searching for symbols, solving codes, and unlocking a padlock at the right moment. It’s playful, sensory, and very lively.
What Parents Want to Know
- Recommended age: from 8 years old to truly enjoy, with at least one adult per team. Younger children can join in the urban investigations (gentle pace) but will need help with the puzzles.
- Duration: expect 60 minutes for a room, 75 to 90 minutes for a city investigation, plus a short briefing and debrief.
- Type of activity: cooperative and cerebral, with a bit of searching and sometimes handling. No extreme thrills; the idea is to have fun as a family.
- Booking and prices: online booking is highly recommended, especially on weekends and holidays. The activity is paid; prices vary depending on the scenario and team size. Check availability before heading out.
- Stroller accessibility: in the room, space is generally limited; it’s better to leave the stroller outside. For urban investigations, strollers are possible on most parts of the city (expect some cobblestones or small slopes).
- Public transport: Sion is very well served by the CFF and urban buses. From the train station, the center is easily reachable on foot or by bus.
- Car: several paid parking options in the city center. It’s advisable to arrive a bit early to park and be on time for the briefing.
- Equipment: for indoor, nothing to prepare. For outdoor: comfortable shoes, a small water bottle, a cap and sunscreen in summer; a jacket for mid-season.
- Safety: the rooms are monitored by a game master who can intervene at any moment. The puzzles are family-friendly, without dangerous elements.
- Season: perfect year-round thanks to the indoor rooms. Urban investigations are ideal from spring to autumn (and in good weather during winter).
- Benefits for children: teamwork, logic, observation, time management, self-confidence when they “unlock” a puzzle. And a lot of shared pride at the end of the mission.
Parent Tips
- Arrive 10 minutes early for the briefing and restroom break.
- Divide roles: a “reader,” a “searcher,” a “timer,” and a “table photographer” to keep an overview.
- Let the children lead certain steps. They often surprise us!
- Don’t wait too long to ask for a hint: it’s better to keep the pace and the smile.
- For younger ones, choose a “family” scenario or an urban investigation.

Why We Recommend It
Because it’s an activity that brings everyone together, without screens and without pressure. We cooperate, we laugh, we learn to listen to each other. The rooms offer true immersion, and the urban investigations reveal Sion in a different light, between heritage and small challenges.
