Ludothèque Chexbres Les Chatons
Chexbres, 1071
In the heart of Lavaux, the Les Chatons toy library lends games and toys in Chexbres, exactly as a library does with books. The place is open to everyone: children, adults, institutions and schools all find something to suit them, and anyone can come and refresh their stock of games as the seasons go by. Items are borrowed for four weeks, with extensions possible subject to availability, plenty of time to get the most out of a game before bringing it back. In keeping with the times, payment by TWINT is accepted. The toy library opens two afternoons a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 15:30 to 17:30, at Chemin de la Croisée 6. An easy stop to combine with the school run.
Ludothèque Papayou
Attalens, 1616
Every Monday afternoon, from 15:00 to 18:00 (except during school holidays), Ludothèque Papayou opens its doors to families from Attalens and the surrounding area, in the Fribourg Veveyse. You will find it in the civil defence shelter of the primary school, in the yellow building « Les Blés ». The shelves mix skill games, board games, educational games and both indoor and outdoor toys: enough to equip an afternoon at home as well as a fine day in the garden, without having to buy every new release. Membership remains affordable: 25 francs for six months or 40 francs for the year. A simple formula for regularly refreshing children's games as ages and seasons change.
Ludothèque La Trottinette
Châtel-St-Denis, 1618
For 35 years, Ludothèque La Trottinette has served families in Châtel-St-Denis and the Veveyse from the premises of the École du Lussy, at Chemin de Crey-Derrey 1. Its collection of more than 1,500 games and toys is aimed at children, families and players of all ages. Opening times revolve around Friday afternoons, from 15:30 to 18:00, complemented by Wednesday afternoons on the first and third Wednesdays of the month and Saturday mornings on the second Saturday of the month. The toy library is closed during school holidays. More than a simple lending counter, La Trottinette sees itself as a meeting place: it hosts creative workshops and family events, where young and old come together around games.
