Ludothèque des Avanchets
Giving everyone access to quality games and toys, on site or at home, for a modest contribution: that is the mission of the Avanchets toy library on Rue du Grand Bay.
It sees itself as a place of meeting and exchange, intended to encourage the pleasure of playing and to build connections between people and families in the neighbourhood. Activities are organised there, and groups from institutions are also welcomed.
The toy library is open four afternoons a week, Tuesday to Friday, with an extended slot on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 18:00. A quick stop at the end of the day is enough to return a finished game and leave with something new.

To keep the fun going at home, borrowing is subject to an annual membership of 30 francs per family, far less than the price of two new games, for a selection that changes with every visit. The toy library is open Tuesday to Saturday, with several morning slots and Saturdays from 09:30 to 12:30. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Founded in 1978 and run by a team of volunteers, it makes nearly 1,000 games and toys available to the public. The toy library is open to everyone, and membership can be taken out directly online, a good way to save time before a first visit.
