Ludothèque des Franches-Montagnes - Les Genevez
The principle is simple: borrow, play, return. The Les Genevez branch of the Franches-Montagnes toy library applies it for the whole village, with board games, outdoor games and games for young children.
It is housed in the municipal services building, to the west of the village, and opens twice a week: Mondays from 13:30 to 15:00 and Wednesdays from 16:30 to 18:00, the second slot comes just in time to choose a game once school is out.
For the very young, borrowing toys makes it possible to match the equipment to each stage of development, without investing in things that will only be used for a few months.

Médiathèque du CIP / Ludothèque de Tramelan
Tramelan, 2720
In Tramelan, games and books live under the same roof: the toy library is housed at the Centre interrégional de perfectionnement (CIP), at Chemin des Lovières 13, alongside the media library. For families, it is a chance to combine borrowing a board game and stocking up on reading in a single visit. The venue pairs game lending with the services of a modern media library: an online catalogue, document reservation and a delivery service make life easier for regulars and newcomers alike. Borrow a game, try it out as a family, then bring it back and choose another: the principle keeps games evenings fresh without accumulating anything. Activities punctuate the year for children, teenagers and adults: storytelling, a book club, writing workshops and Scrabble.
Ludothèque de Tavannes
Tavannes, 2710

Its collection of more than 1,500 games is refreshed every month, guaranteeing new finds on every visit, and the team is happy to explain the rules on site, a real plus for leaving with a game you can launch that very evening. The doors are open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 16:00 to 18:00, as well as the first Friday of the month at the same times. The toy library is also a lively player in local life: it organises around fifteen activities a year (discovery evenings, tournaments, family workshops) and also works with schools.
