Meeting the marmots

At the entrance to the Anzère resort, the Parc à Marmota is a small animal park set up at the Hôtel-Restaurant La Poste. From spring, the marmots come out of their burrows, joined in summer by rabbits and Valais blacknose sheep. Children can watch them up close and even feed them with little carrots provided by the owner. A lovely way to discover mountain wildlife, effortlessly and in the heart of the village.

What your children will discover

Children are delighted to get close to real marmots: they watch them, learn to recognise their calls and hold out a carrot. Through the summer, they also come across rabbits and the famous Valais blacknose sheep, with their all-white fleece. A gentle, sensory nature encounter, perfect for the youngest.

What you do and the atmosphere on site

You settle on the terrace of the Hôtel-Restaurant La Poste, pick up a few carrots and go to meet the animals. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented: while the children feed the marmots, parents enjoy a break in the sun. A wonderfully simple stop, at the entrance to the resort.
