Charmey Aventures, the adventure in height above the valley

Nestled at the intermediate station of the Charmey cable car, in Gruyère, the Charmey treetop park (operated by TéléCharmey) is a course where you move from tree to tree, harness on your back and a smile on your face. You ascend by cable car, which is already part of the adventure for the children. Once on site, the park offers a dozen courses of increasing difficulty, from the gentlest ones close to the ground to the most dizzying ones in the treetops. The setting is superb, the air fresh, and the view of the valley accompanies each zip line. A big breath of nature and pride for young and old.

What your children will discover

The park offers a free course close to the ground, the P'tit ruisseau, accessible from 3 years old under adult supervision: ideal for a first gentle experience. Next are courses for younger children, followed by a series of tree courses of increasing difficulty, with monkey bridges, ladders, walkways, and numerous zip lines. The more daring can tackle the most difficult courses in the treetops. Next to it, the Valley of Zip Lines adds even more sliding sensations above the void.

What to do there and the atmosphere on site

You arrive, you gear up, you follow the safety briefing, and then everyone sets off at their own pace according to their age and courage. The atmosphere is family-friendly and cheerful: parents cheer from the ground or take the plunge themselves, and you can hear the joyful screams on the zip lines. The safety system allows children to move with confidence. Between courses, a snack point and a picnic area allow you to regain strength. Plan for several hours: there is plenty to do, and children always want to go again.

Why we recommend it

Because it is one of the few treetop parks in French-speaking Switzerland to welcome little ones from 3 years old while offering real challenges for older ones: the whole family finds their course. The ascent by cable car, the mountain setting of Gruyère, and the adrenaline rush of the zip lines make it a memorable outing that develops confidence and agility in children.

In two words
