The playground of the upper commune

Savigny is not just its centre. To the north, towards Mollie-Margot and la Branche, the land rises towards the Jorat forest, and it is there, along the route de la Goille, that the Collège du Jorat playground stands. It serves this whole area of hamlets and farms, more rural and quieter than the village, only a few hundred metres from the edge of the woods.

What your children will discover

The new arrival is the crow's nest with a slide, a raised hut in the shape of a little house that the commune had supplied and installed in 2024. Children climb up, take in the view from the lookout, then come back down the slide: it is the piece that now anchors the playground. Beside it, a swing and a spring-mounted duck, two timeless classics for the youngest, maintained by the commune. The whole thing is simple, but the crow's nest is enough to keep children busy for a long time.

What you do there and the atmosphere on site

This is Jorat farmland, not an urban park. The playground is small, quiet, often empty during the week. It is the perfect place for a break in the middle of a walk: the area is criss-crossed by country lanes and forest paths, and several of the village's walking circuits pass nearby. You arrive on foot from Mollie-Margot, let the children burn off energy for a quarter of an hour, then head back towards the woods. Families from the upper commune, for their part, make it their everyday playground.
