Behind the scenes of Gruyère AOP

In Montricher, at the foot of the Jura, La Fromagerie Gourmande brings together the cheeses of some twenty producers. Its demonstration gallery lets you watch Gruyère AOP being made, and a large glass window looks onto a robotic affinage cellar, where a robot turns and watches over thousands of wheels. An interactive exhibition tells the story of Gruyère in a playful way. Between a guided tour, a film and a tasting, it's a gourmet and instructive outing for the whole family.

What your children will discover

Children discover, fascinated, how milk becomes cheese, and watch the robot tending the wheels in the giant cellar. The exhibition, designed for the whole family, makes the story of Gruyère lively and playful. The final tasting, for its part, delights all taste buds. A lovely way to link nature, the land and the plate.

You watch the making gallery and the robotic cellar, walk through the exhibition, and finish with a guided tour with a film and a tasting. The atmosphere is warm and gourmet. On site, a shop and a restaurant extend the visit, and a vending machine runs 24/7.
