Just a few minutes from Morges and Lausanne, Préverenges beach is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the canton of Vaud. It features a long stretch of fine sand that borders Lake Léman for several hundred meters, complemented by wide lawns where you can lay your towel. The water remains shallow for a good fifty meters, which reassures parents and delights the little ones. In the background, the lake, the Alps, and right next door, the nature reserve of the Île aux Oiseaux. It's a simple and generous spot, ideal for spending the day with family.

What your children will discover

Children discover a real sandy corner here like at the sea: enough to dig, build castles, and splash around without fear at the water's edge. The very gentle slope of the lake gives them space to paddle while you keep an eye on them from the lawn. A playground complements the swimming for the moments when you come out of the water, and the view of the water birds from the nearby reserve offers a lovely nature break. Older kids quickly eye the paddleboards and pedal boats.

Préverenges beach embodies the spirit of a "day by the lake": you spread your towels on the sand or the shaded lawn, alternating between swimming, games, and a break at the snack bar. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, especially in the morning and early in the week. In terms of activities, you can rent paddleboards, pedal boats, kayaks, or canoes near the surf shop, and water sports enthusiasts will find a windsurfing school there. Note: the beach has been operating as "Zero Waste" since 2022, with no bins on site, so you take your waste with you.
