Tree climbing with family at the Organic Adventure Park in Champéry
In Champéry, the Organic Adventure Park offers tree courses for both young and old, in the heart of the forest with a view of the Dents du Midi. A nature outing to challenge yourself with family.
A Nature Break at the Foot of the Dents du Midi
Just steps away from the village of Champéry (Valais), the Organic Adventure Park sets up its rope bridges and zip lines in a beautiful, quiet forest. It’s the kind of activity that brings the whole family together: we climb, we laugh, we encourage each other. The atmosphere is simple and caring, with a true mountain spirit.
What Your Children Will Love
Here, each course has its little dose of adrenaline. The youngest start low, on fun and very accessible modules. The older ones launch into the zip lines, the moving walkways, and the balance challenges. We progress at our own pace, with a secure harness and a clear briefing. The forest setting provides that sense of adventure without ever losing the reassuring aspect.
It’s an activity that is both sensory and motor: we touch the bark, we listen to the birds, we learn to coordinate our movements. We gain confidence, manage our emotions, and help each other. And between two workshops, we take a look at the Dents du Midi – the view is worth it.
Things to Know Before You Go

- Duration: expect 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the crowd, the age of the children, and the number of courses.
- Type of experience: sporty and playful, with a real educational aspect (fine motor skills, coordination, risk management, autonomy, self-confidence, teamwork).
- Booking and prices: paid entry; booking is highly recommended on weekends and during holidays. Check the official website for prices and possible family offers.
- Accessibility: the site is located in the forest, on natural terrain. The courses are not accessible by stroller; bring a baby carrier for the little ones. The surroundings remain passable with an all-terrain stroller.
- Public transport: Champéry is connected by the AOMC train from Aigle. From Champéry station, it’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the park area (Grand-Paradis) or a short local shuttle depending on the season.
- By car: follow Champéry (Val d’Illiez). Recommended parking on the Grand-Paradis / Palladium side depending on available spaces.
- Equipment: closed shoes required (sneakers), comfortable clothing, hair tied back. Recommended: thin sports gloves, water, a small snack, sunscreen, and insect repellent in summer.
- Safety: initial briefing, checked equipment, and continuous lifeline or secure carabiner system depending on the courses. Teams are present to advise and intervene if needed.
- Best season: from late spring to early autumn. Open in dry weather or light rain; closed in case of thunderstorms or strong winds. In summer, mornings are cooler and suitable for young children.
Parents' Tips
- Arrive early for the briefing and to avoid queues at the workshops.
- Check the required size/age for each course before promising a zip line to the younger ones.
- Bring water and a small snack; children burn a lot of energy.
- Thin gloves can prevent small blisters on the bridges.
- Bring a warm layer: in the forest, the shade cools even in summer.
