New: find the ideal activity by chatting with the Kidora assistant

Kidora Modified on 10 June 2026

What if finding the right outing for your children now came down to a simple question? We have just added a search assistant to Kidora: you describe what you are looking for, and it picks from all our activities in French-speaking Switzerland for you.

You will find it at the bottom of every page of the site, on mobile as well as on desktop. No more need to click through filters when you already know what you want: ask your question, and let the assistant suggest ideas suitable for the right age, the right season, and the right region.

An assistant that knows all our activities

The Kidora assistant searches directly in our activity database: playgrounds, museums, nature outings, shows, sports and leisure, escape games... Everything you already find while browsing the site, you can now ask for in a few words.

In practice, you talk to it like you would to a friend who knows the area: “an idea for a 4-year-old,” “something indoors near Lausanne,” “a free outing this weekend.” It responds with concrete activities, drawn from our listings, with links to learn more.

How it works

It's simple:

  • Open the chat window at the bottom of the page (on mobile, the button is at the bottom of your screen).
  • Enter your email address to start the conversation.
  • Ask your question in English, as precise as you wish.
  • The assistant suggests activities and links to our detailed listings.

You can refine your request throughout the conversation: add an age range, a city, weather, a budget. The more precise you are, the better the suggestions fit your day.

Some examples of questions to ask

To give you an idea, here are the types of questions the assistant loves:

  • “An indoor activity for a 3-year-old in Geneva on a rainy day?”
  • “What to do for free with children around Fribourg?”
  • “A nature outing for 6-9 year-olds near Nyon this weekend?”
  • “Where to celebrate a child's birthday in the canton of Vaud?”
  • “An idea for an easy stroller walk by the lake?”

What you need to know

We wanted to keep things clear and without surprises:

  • It's 100% free. The assistant is part of Kidora, you don't have to pay anything to use it.
  • An email address is enough. It allows us to recognize you from one conversation to the next and, if you wish, to send you our best outing ideas every week.
  • 20 messages per day. Enough to prepare for an outing or a week of vacation. The limit resets to zero the next day.

The assistant does not replace your filters, it complements them

Do you like browsing Kidora by category, age, season, or region? All of that remains in place. The assistant is there for the days when you have a specific question in mind and want a quick answer, without clicking everywhere. You get to choose the way that suits you.

Want to try? Head to the bottom of any page on kidora.ch and start the conversation. And to not miss any of our new offerings and receive our best outing ideas every week, join the Kidora newsletter.

See you soon, Michael @ Kidora
