Ludothèque La Place de Jeux

Oron-la-Ville·Vaud

Two afternoons a week, on Tuesdays from 15:00 to 17:00 and Fridays from 15:00 to 18:00, the La Place de Jeux toy library opens its doors to families in the Oron region, on Route des Auges. Lending works on presentation of a membership card, to be requested directly on site.

Beyond lending, the library takes part in games evenings organised with the Société de développement and regularly shares news of its latest additions, notably through a podcast, an original way to keep up with the newest games on the shelves.

For children, every visit is a chance to head home with new discoveries under their arm. Worth noting: the library is closed during school holidays and on public holidays.

Ludothèque Papayou

Attalens, 1616

Every Monday afternoon, from 15:00 to 18:00 (except during school holidays), Ludothèque Papayou opens its doors to families from Attalens and the surrounding area, in the Fribourg Veveyse. You will find it in the civil defence shelter of the primary school, in the yellow building « Les Blés ». The shelves mix skill games, board games, educational games and both indoor and outdoor toys: enough to equip an afternoon at home as well as a fine day in the garden, without having to buy every new release. Membership remains affordable: 25 francs for six months or 40 francs for the year. A simple formula for regularly refreshing children's games as ages and seasons change.

Opening times revolve around Friday afternoons, from 15:30 to 18:00, complemented by Wednesday afternoons on the first and third Wednesdays of the month and Saturday mornings on the second Saturday of the month. Ludothèque La Cigale

Savigny, 1073

A non-profit association run by volunteers, the La Cigale toy library in Savigny offers more than 1,300 games and toys, available to borrow for four weeks. Its trained toy librarians advise families and have expertise in working with children who have DYS difficulties. Games evenings, including "expert games" evenings, are held regularly, and a billiard table is freely available during opening hours, a little extra that regulars appreciate. Annual membership is set at 48 francs. Openings take place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 18:30, on Route du Collège: end-of-day slots that make it easy to drop in and pick out a game after school or work.
