Ludothèque La Cigale

Savigny·Vaud

A non-profit association run by volunteers, the La Cigale toy library in Savigny offers more than 1,300 games and toys, available to borrow for four weeks. Its trained toy librarians advise families and have expertise in working with children who have DYS difficulties.

Games evenings, including "expert games" evenings, are held regularly, and a billiard table is freely available during opening hours, a little extra that regulars appreciate.

Annual membership is set at 48 francs. Openings take place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 18:30, on Route du Collège: end-of-day slots that make it easy to drop in and pick out a game after school or work.

On the heights above Lausanne, the Epalinges toy library lends games and toys to families in the municipality. As in a library, you borrow for a limited period, play, then bring things back: a simple way to spot the games your family truly enjoys before investing, and to keep space free at home. A distinctive feature: the hire of a bouncy castle, an option that can transform a birthday party or a neighbourhood celebration. On rainy Wednesdays, the toy library also remains a reliable way to keep young and old busy around a board game. The toy library applies a price list that can be consulted on its website, where you will find the details before planning your first visit.
