Meyrin, Vernier, Versoix: the right bank of Geneva with children

Between the airport, the Rhône and Lake Geneva, Geneva’s right bank is packed with family activities that are too often overlooked in favour of the city centre. A vivarium, trampolines, swimming pools, beaches and even a terrace for watching planes take off: here is the grand tour of Meyrin, Vernier and Versoix.

In Meyrin: reptiles, climbing and pools

• Le Vivarium de Meyrin: snakes, lizards and tortoises to watch up close, from age 6 to really make the most of it.
• Lac des Vernes: an easy loop walk around the water, binoculars recommended.
• Totem Escalade Meyrin and Gravity Park: climbing from age 3 and trampolines from age 4 — the duo for grey days.

• The Lignon minigolf: 18 outdoor holes to challenge the whole family — the only outdoor minigolf in the canton, and one of our best minigolf courses in French-speaking Switzerland.

• Pathé Balexert: the big multiplex cinema, with family screenings from age 3.

• The Bécassière pool in summer and CinéVersoix for young audience screenings all year round.
• Totem Escalade Versoix: an indoor climbing wall for climbing under cover, ideal on rainy days.

Why we love the right bank

Everything is reachable by tram or bus from Cornavin, parking is easier than in the centre, and the density of activities per square metre is unbeatable. One afternoon is rarely enough.
